Mastering how to conduct yourself in group conversations is an art and a science. I struggle with the fine balance of trying to get my message across without being overly aggressive and cutting someone off but also not having to wait forever for my turn. A trick I have found to help me get through in-person group conversations is when there is eye contact from the person currently speaking; it is the perfect time to speak up because you caught someone’s attention through that interaction. (That split second when someone notices and makes eye contact, you have to pounce back with that message you are trying to get across.) However someone will usually take your place and speak before you can get the words out of your mouth. Does anyone else struggle with this?
All jokes aside, keep hustling to get to where you need to.
